Reputation is the backbone of trust on TRADANYA. Every trader's history is public, permanent, and verified through Steam identity. This guide explains how reviews work, how the community voting system prevents abuse, and how to trade safely.
The Reputation System
Every TRADANYA user has a reputation score displayed on their profile and on all their listings. The score is made up of:
- ➕ Positive reviews from completed trades
- ➖ Negative reviews from disputed or failed trades
The score is shown as +7 / -0 style — positives on the left, negatives on the right.
How to Leave a Review
After completing a trade, visit the other trader's TRADANYA profile and scroll to the Reviews section.
You can leave:
👍 Positive Review
Trade went exactly as agreed. Payment was sent, items were delivered, communication was good.
👎 Negative Review
Something went wrong. The other party did not follow through, was deceptive, or caused a problem.
A comment is required for negative reviews. Be specific — describe exactly what happened so future traders can make an informed decision.
Important: You can only leave one review per trading partner. Make it accurate and fair.
What Shows on a Profile
Every public TRADANYA profile displays:
- Total positive and negative score
- All reviews with comments, dates, and reviewer names
- Steam ban status — VAC ban, trade ban, community ban
- Account age and game count
- Trade point total and current rank
Community Review Voting — How It Works
TRADANYA uses a community-driven voting system to handle disputed negative reviews — no admin needs to manually adjudicate every complaint.
How Voting Works
Every negative review appears on the Vote Reviews page. Any signed-in user who was not involved in the original trade can vote:
- ✅ Keep — the review is legitimate and should remain
- 🗑 Remove — the review appears false, unfair, or retaliatory
Automatic Actions
- A review reaching -3 net votes (more Remove than Keep) is automatically hidden
- A review at +3 net votes (more Keep than Remove) is permanently restored if it was previously hidden
This means the community polices bad actors organically. A legitimate negative review will survive voting. A false rep-bomb will be removed without requiring admin intervention.
The Steam Lookup Tool — Check Anyone Before Trading
The Steam Lookup tool (found in the Discover menu) lets you check any Steam account before committing to a trade.
What You Can Search By
- Steam ID64 (the long number)
- Vanity URL (the custom part of their profile URL)
- Full Steam profile link
What You See
- Their TRADANYA reputation score and all reviews
- VAC ban status — were they banned for cheating?
- Trade ban status — can they even send Steam trades?
- Community ban status
- Account age and game count
- Number of days since any ban
No login required. Anyone can look up any Steam account. Use it before every significant trade.

A trade-banned account literally cannot send you items on Steam. If you see a trade ban, do not proceed under any circumstances.
Safe Trading Checklist
Before every trade, run through this list:
- ✅ Check their TRADANYA reputation — read actual review comments, not just the number
- ✅ Run a Steam Lookup — verify no trade ban exists
- ✅ Check account age — very new accounts with no games are a risk signal
- ✅ Start small — for a new trading partner, do a small trade first to build trust
- ✅ Screenshot your Steam chat — always keep a record of the agreement before sending anything
- ✅ Never bypass Steam escrow — if Steam holds a trade for confirmation, let it process normally
What To Do If Something Goes Wrong
- Leave a negative review with a detailed description — warn other traders
- Report to Steam at help.steampowered.com — Steam can investigate and action the account
- Submit evidence — screenshots of chat, trade history, and any promises made
TRADANYA is a facilitation platform. We connect traders and provide reputation tools, but we are not responsible for trades that go wrong. Your best protection is always verifying before trading.
